Having an understanding of your values will provide you with guidance and clarity towards better understanding how you'd like to show up within every aspect of your life.
Your values shine a light on your most important needs as well as any boundaries you may benefit from integrating.
Your values can help ground you.
They can give you a sense of grounding when you fall off track or when you feel like you are losing our way.
Without taking the time to identify your values, you will likely make choices from your past conditioning and family of origin dynamics.
Without reflecting on the values that were passed down to you (whether cultural, systemic, or familial) it can feel like you're living in a hamster wheel - with life literally replaying whatever you witnessed growing up over and over again.
For some people, that might be a really great thing - because they grew up witnessing healthy and loving and empowering values.
For others - that reality can be an absolute nightmare.
Where do you fall on that spectrum?
Do you feel like your current values empower you? Do they point you towards the life you want to live?
Do you feel a bit lost and need to perhaps choose new values? Values that allow you to step into new and more preferred possibilities?
I'll tell you, when I really sat down and really got clear on my core values most of my relationship endings made more sense. I also started to recognize more easily when someone would be a good fit for my world.
I want the same for you. A deep sense of clarity on what matters most to you (both individually and relationally).
